Italian technology distributor Esprinet has increased its full-year 2026 EBITDA guidance to between 77 million and 82 million euros. This follows a first-half performance marked by double-digit sales growth in key European markets.

The company reported gross sales of 2.1 billion euros for the first half of 2026, an 8% increase compared to the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA reached 31.9 million euros, a 27% rise year-over-year, as the firm benefited from increased demand in infrastructure and artificial intelligence sectors.

"The overall picture of the first half of 2026 confirms our strategy," said Giovanni Testa, Chief Executive of Esprinet, during the company's recent earnings call.

Regional Drivers and Segment Performance

The company's growth was primarily driven by its operations in the Iberian Peninsula. According to a recent report, sales in Spain rose by 21%, while Portugal saw a 37% increase during the first six months of the year.

Esprinet also highlighted the performance of its specialized service divisions. Testa noted that "Green Tech" remains the company's fastest-growing segment. Additionally, the firm's Innovexya unit, which focuses on specialized services, reported turnover growth exceeding 41% with EBITDA margins surpassing 50%.

Financial Position and Liquidity

Esprinet enters the second half of the year with a liquid balance sheet. The company maintains a current ratio of 3.7. This metric measures a firm's ability to pay short-term obligations with its current assets, and a ratio above 1.0 indicates that a company has sufficient liquid assets to cover its immediate liabilities.

Why This Matters

The guidance raise signals confidence in the firm's ability to navigate shifting IT spending patterns. By pivoting toward high-margin service offerings and green technology, Esprinet is working to offset the volatility associated with hardware distribution. The company's ability to maintain liquidity while scaling these specialized segments will remain a focus for stakeholders as it moves to meet its updated full-year profitability targets.
