Amer Sports has raised its third-quarter 2026 revenue and margin guidance, citing momentum across its portfolio of sports and outdoor brands. The company now expects year-over-year revenue growth of 20% to 22%, which exceeds its previous forecast of 18% to 20%.
Amer Sports reported that its adjusted operating margin for the quarter is projected to land slightly above its prior guidance range of 13.5% to 14%. This upward revision arrives ahead of the company's September 17 investor day, where leadership outlined its growth trajectory.
"Our unique portfolio of premium sports & outdoor brands continues to deliver financial results in a challenging marketplace, led by continued growth across all segments. We are excited to showcase the Salomon brand to the market during our investor day tomorrow," said James Zheng, CEO of Amer Sports, in a statement.
Strategic Growth Engines
Despite the improved short-term outlook, the company reaffirmed its existing five-year financial targets. Management noted that this long-term confidence is anchored by core segments including Arc'teryx, Salomon Softgoods, and Wilson Tennis 360.
"In addition to another strong third quarter, we also expect great things from our company long-term. Given our confidence in our key growth engines, which are Arc'teryx, Salomon Softgoods, and Wilson Tennis 360, we are pleased to reiterate the 5-year financial algorithm for Amer Sports Group, despite our higher revenue and margin base versus a year ago," said Andrew Page, CFO of Amer Sports.
Market Performance
As of September 18, 2026, shares of Amer Sports Inc (AS) were trading at $26.73, marking a 1.75% increase. The company's ability to maintain its five-year financial algorithm, a term used by the firm to describe its long-term growth and profitability framework, while raising current-quarter guidance suggests a decoupling from broader retail volatility.
For investors, the reaffirmation of long-term targets signals that the current outperformance is viewed as sustainable. The company's focus remains on expanding the footprint of its premium brands, which have historically commanded higher margins than mass-market sporting goods competitors.
