Light Science Secures £0.8M in New Passive Fire Protection Contracts

Light Science Technologies Holdings has secured approximately £0.8 million in new contracts for its Passive Fire Protection (PFP) division since June 24, 2026. This reflects the company's expanding commercial presence in the building safety sector.

The new business includes orders for the company's proprietary Injectaclad cavity fire barrier system and two installation projects in Birmingham and Leicester. The Leicester project has received formal approval from the Building Safety Regulator, which is a requirement for compliance-driven remediation work.

"Securing approximately £0.8 million of further business since our June update demonstrates the continued commercial momentum within our PFP division. We are seeing progress across both parts of our strategy, with increasing Injectaclad sales through our installer network alongside further projects secured by our own installation team," said Simon Deacon, CEO of Light Science Technologies Holdings plc.

Strategic Focus on Remediation

Light Science focuses on two revenue streams: the sale of its Injectaclad product to third-party installers and the direct provision of installation services for remediation projects. The Injectaclad system is a pumped cavity fire barrier solution designed for retrospective installation. This technology allows building owners to address fire safety deficiencies without requiring full-scale facade removal, which is often expensive and disruptive for residents.

Market Context and Regulatory Drivers

This contract win follows a broader series of order announcements that have supported the company's PFP division throughout 2026. The demand for these solutions is driven by UK building safety regulations, which mandate that high-rise buildings meet specific fire safety standards. By providing a technical solution that enables compliance through less invasive means, Light Science participates in the national effort to remediate residential and commercial properties.

The company balances its PFP division's growth against its other business segments, including agricultural lighting and electronics manufacturing, as it scales its safety offerings across the UK construction and property management markets.
