Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. is taking a strategic capital stake in ProLogium, deepening an existing industrial partnership to jointly explore next-generation solid-state battery module manufacturing in Japan. The move shifts the companies' previous operational collaboration into direct equity participation as demand for advanced energy storage accelerates.

"We are grateful to Kyushu Electric Power for its long-standing collaboration with ProLogium. To us, a strategic partnership with enduring value is built on sustained collaboration, mutual understanding and joint exploration. We look forward to building on this latest progress to broaden and deepen our collaboration with Kyushu Electric Power and to jointly explore commercialization opportunities for next-generation batteries across a wider range of energy and industrial applications," said Vincent Yang, Founder and CEO of ProLogium, in a statement regarding the investment.

Exploring Domestic Module Production in Japan

Under the expanded partnership, Kyushu Electric Power and ProLogium are evaluating the establishment of dedicated battery module manufacturing capabilities within Japan. The initiative aims to pair ProLogium's proprietary solid-state cell technology with local industrial infrastructure.

Intended applications for the resulting battery modules include heavy-duty industrial machinery, such as construction equipment, as well as stationary energy storage systems. By localizing module assembly, the partners aim to secure regional supply chains for high-performance cells.

ProLogium's Pending Nasdaq Listing

The capital investment arrives as ProLogium moves through the process of entering public equity markets. In May 2026, ProLogium entered into a business combination agreement with Translational Development Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company traded on the Nasdaq under the ticker TDAC.

As part of that transaction, ProLogium filed a Form F-4 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company plans to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol PRLG, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

What Is at Stake for Solid-State Commercialization

The deepening ties between regional utility providers and battery developers reflect the broader race to commercialize solid-state battery technology at scale. For utilities like Kyushu Electric Power, securing direct access to next-generation energy storage technology provides a hedge against grid volatility and opens new commercial channels in industrial electrification.
