Compass Point initiated coverage of Hyperliquid Strategies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PURR) with a Buy rating and an $18.00 price target, pointing to the firm's balance sheet position as a digital asset treasury accumulating HYPE tokens. The initiation points to a potential 52% upside from the stock's trading price of $11.85, according to an Investing.com report.

Hyperliquid operates as a decentralized futures exchange with a $38 billion market capitalization, generating approximately $85 million in monthly revenue. The exchange model combines high-throughput perpetual contract trading with native token economics, anchoring the underlying asset strategy of Hyperliquid Strategies.

Fourth-Quarter Financial Performance

Hyperliquid Strategies Inc. reported fourth-quarter fiscal year 2026 financial results featuring $553 million in treasury-related income, driven largely by unrealized gains on HYPE holdings. Beyond the portfolio revaluation gains, the company recorded $9.5 million in staking and validator revenue during the period.

The substantial treasury income shows how corporate balance sheets tied directly to native Layer-1 and Layer-2 protocol tokens reflect broader digital asset market fluctuations. The accumulation strategy employed by Hyperliquid Strategies mirrors institutional treasury models seen across the cryptocurrency sector, where firms hold and stake native network tokens to generate recurring validator yields alongside capital appreciation.

Non-Crypto Product Expansion

A notable driver behind the exchange's transaction volume is its cross-asset product offering. Approximately 40% of Hyperliquid's trading volume stems from non-crypto products, encompassing commodities, global equities, and Pre-IPO futures contracts.

This diversification distinguishes the protocol from traditional decentralized exchanges focused exclusively on crypto-native spot pairs. By capturing order flow across traditional asset classes within a decentralized infrastructure, the exchange maintains consistent fee generation that supports the underlying ecosystem and treasury metrics tracked by equity analysts.
