Superform has debuted 'Earn Stocks' on the Base network, an automated strategy layer that allows users to generate yield on tokenized equities by using them as collateral within Aave V4. The product is currently in a limited rollout and aims to simplify the process of leveraging onchain assets for financial returns.
"Tokenization is not the end product. The bigger opportunity is turning onchain assets into financial products without passing the complexity of collateral, credit, and execution to the user," said Vikram Arun, Co-Founder and CEO of Superform, in a statement regarding the launch.
How the 'Earn Stocks' Mechanism Functions
The strategy automates the lifecycle of collateralized borrowing. Users deposit Coinbase Tokenized Stocks into the Superform interface, which then posts these assets as collateral in the Aave V4 Equities Hub on Base. The system borrows USDC against the equity position and deploys those funds into approved yield-generating venues.
This framework manages the technical requirements of tracking collateral ratios and debt positions, which are typically manual processes for decentralized finance participants.
Phased Rollout and Market Scope
At launch, 'Earn Stocks' is exclusively available for superNVDA, which represents tokenized NVIDIA shares. Superform has announced plans to expand this support to other major equities in subsequent phases, including Tesla, Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet.
The integration follows a period of growth for tokenized assets on the Base network. According to a report on the platform's growth, Coinbase Tokenized Stocks surpassed $1.5 billion in onchain volume within their first six weeks of availability.
Regulatory and Jurisdictional Constraints
Access to the new strategy is restricted based on user location. The product is unavailable to users in the United States, and access is limited to eligible participants in permitted jurisdictions.
"Tokenized stocks have significant potential as onchain collateral, and Aave V4 on Base was built to serve that use case, allowing eligible users outside the U.S. to borrow USDC against supported Coinbase Tokenized Stocks," said Luigi D'Onorio DeMeo, Chief Strategy and Business Officer at Aave Labs.
