Supply chain services provider Stord secured an oversubscribed $400 million credit facility led by Citi. The company will use the funds for warehouse automation and artificial intelligence infrastructure, bringing its total capital raised in 2026 to $650 million.
The credit facility closed at nearly double the volume of debt Stord originally sought from lenders, according to a company announcement. This debt package complements a previously completed $250 million Series F equity financing round to finance physical and digital supply chain assets.
"Stord is transforming commerce. Our scale, fulfillment infrastructure, commerce technology, and applied AI and robotics have separated Stord as the leader. This facility, combined with our $250 million Series F, gives us the balance sheet to match the scale, potential, and impact of what we're building. We will use this capital to expand our fulfillment network, accelerate our deployment of robotics, and invest in AI through Stord Labs. The banks in this facility, and the leaders joining us in Bill and Mark, are a vote of confidence in the foundation we’ve created at Stord, and a signal of where we are headed," said Sean Henry, CEO and Co-Founder of Stord.
Syndicate Participation and Debt Financing Structure
The financing was arranged through a syndication of commercial and investment banks. Alongside lead arranger Citi, participating lenders in the facility include:
- Morgan Stanley
- JPMorgan
- First Citizens Bank
- Citizens
- KeyBank
Credit facilities of this type allow logistics operators to finance long-lived physical equipment and technology assets without incurring the immediate equity dilution associated with priced venture rounds. By drawing down structured debt against established commercial contracts and receivables, logistics companies preserve shareholder ownership while funding warehouse hardware and automated sorting systems.
Revenue Growth and Executive Additions
The capital injection coincides with operational expansion across the Atlanta-based company's physical and software footprints. Stord reported that it is approaching a $1 billion revenue run-rate, having expanded business volume by 10x over the past four years across its port-to-porch supply chain network.
To manage its financial reporting and commercial pipeline as it approaches the $1 billion revenue threshold, Stord appointed two public company veterans to its executive committee:
- Bill Zerella joined as Chief Financial Officer, having previously served as CFO at ACV Auctions and Fitbit.
- Mark Wayland joined as Chief Revenue Officer, following prior executive leadership roles including CRO at Box.
Deployment Across Robotics and Stord Labs
Capital from the credit line is earmarked for physical warehouse network expansions, accelerated installation of autonomous robotics across distribution nodes, and software engineering within Stord Labs. The research division develops predictive modeling and automated routing software used by retail and business-to-business commerce brands to optimize freight inventory distribution.
