Pine Cliff Energy Ltd. is expanding its 2026 development drilling program in Central Alberta by adding three wells while securing a new syndicated credit facility to support capital projects through mid-2027.

The energy company announced plans to drill two Glauconite wells in the Caroline area and one Pekisko oil well in the Three Hills area. Despite the additions, Pine Cliff reported that its overall capital expenditure budget remains capped at $27 million.

Drilling Partnerships and Credit Terms

For the Caroline area development, Pine Cliff is sharing capital costs and production with an unnamed third party. This arrangement includes one well currently being drilled that the company initially disclosed in an August 12, 2026 announcement.

To support these operations, Pine Cliff finalized a new syndicated credit facility maturing on September 30, 2029. The agreement provides access to an additional $15 million in capital, which management can draw upon to fund drilling opportunities through June 30, 2027.

Monthly Dividend Declaration

Alongside its operational updates, the board declared a monthly dividend of $0.00125 per common share. The payout is scheduled for distribution on October 30, 2026, to shareholders registered on the record date of October 15, 2026.

Financial and Operational Context

For retail and institutional investors, syndicated credit facilities provide liquidity buffers for junior and intermediate exploration and production companies operating in Western Canada. By syndicating the debt across multiple financial institutions rather than relying on a single lender, companies typically secure flexible borrowing covenants to navigate commodity price volatility while maintaining active field development.

The retention of the $27 million capital budget alongside outside cost-sharing indicates an emphasis on capital discipline as Pine Cliff advances its Central Alberta asset base.
