Needham raised its price target on Vicor Corporation (NASDAQ:VICR) to $350 from $320 while maintaining a Buy rating, driven by an upward revision in the power module maker's artificial intelligence revenue outlook, according to an Investing.com report.

The analyst adjustment follows Vicor's second consecutive third-quarter 2026 guidance raise within the same period, highlighting accelerating demand for specialized power delivery components in AI hardware architectures.

Second Guidance Raise Reflects AI Licensing

Vicor raised its third-quarter 2026 revenue outlook for the second time during the quarter, now expecting sequential growth of more than 30%. That revised target marks a sharp acceleration from a previous forecast of over 20% and an original projection of approximately 10% sequential growth.

The upgraded forecast primarily reflects increased revenue contributions from a recently announced non-exclusive Vertical Power Delivery (VPD) royalty agreement with an artificial intelligence original equipment manufacturer. Vertical Power Delivery technology addresses thermal and electrical challenges in high-performance computing by placing power conversion closer to advanced processors.

Valuation and 2028 Earnings Estimates

Needham's new $350 price target is calculated using a valuation multiple of 42 times the firm's next-generation earnings per share estimate of $8.37 for calendar year 2028.

This forward-looking multiple reflects analysts' expectations of multi-year earnings expansion as data center operators upgrade infrastructure to support denser, power-hungry machine learning workloads. Power architecture suppliers have increasingly factored licensing deals and proprietary module designs into their long-term financial models as AI hardware deployments scale globally.
