J.P. Morgan has placed Swiss flavor and fragrance maker Givaudan on its Positive Catalyst Watch ahead of the company's third-quarter results scheduled for October 13, projecting organic sales growth that outpaces consensus estimates and regional peers, according to a Yahoo Finance report.
The bank expects Givaudan to report organic sales growth of 6.7% for the third quarter, surpassing the broader market consensus of approximately 5%. The catalyst watch placement follows a roughly 3% decline in Givaudan shares since the bank's previous preview, creating an entry point ahead of potential earnings outperformance.
Analyst Projections and Long-Term Forecasts
J.P. Morgan maintains an "overweight" rating on the stock, noting that the upcoming Q3 report could serve as a catalyst for upward revisions to the company's financial model across 2026 and 2027.
The investment bank projects like-for-like sales growth of 5.0% in 2026 and 5.6% in 2027. These figures compare against consensus estimates of 4.2% and 4.7%, respectively, pointing to sustained operational momentum for the manufacturer.
Volume-Led Growth Versus Ingredients Peers
The projected third-quarter expansion is expected to stem primarily from operational volume rather than price increases. J.P. Morgan forecasts Givaudan's Q3 organic growth will comprise 6.2% volume growth alongside 0.5% pricing growth.
This division highlights underlying demand for the company's flavor and fragrance compounds used in consumer goods. If projections hold, J.P. Morgan expects Givaudan to rank as the fastest-growing enterprise among its ingredients sector peers during the second half of 2026.
