First Majestic Silver reported third-quarter production of 3.4 million silver ounces, reaching 72% of its revised guidance midpoint after a 12-day labor dispute disrupted operations at its San Dimas mine.

"First Majestic remains focused on meeting its production guidance and, with a focus on controlling costs, looks forward to delivering enhanced profitability to investors through the rest of the year," said Keith Neumeyer, CEO, in an official release.

Production Metrics and Operational Impact

Alongside the lower silver figures, the company produced 29,552 gold ounces during the third quarter, aligning closely with management's revised expectations. The temporary work stoppage at the San Dimas operation in Mexico accounted for the majority of the shortfall in silver output, halting mining activities for nearly two weeks.

Drilling Activity and Sustainability Ranking

To sustain resource development, First Majestic maintained active exploration programs across its core assets. Operational data from the period includes:

  • Drilling volume: Approximately 78,475 meters completed across mines in Mexico and the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine in Nevada.
  • Active rigs: Up to 33 drill rigs deployed concurrently during the quarter.
  • Sustainability score: An aggregate score of 50 in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment published in late September.

What Is at Stake for Mining Operations

The S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment score placed the mining firm in the top 17% of mining companies globally. As management works to stabilize output following the San Dimas labor dispute, cost control and active drilling remain central to meeting full-year targets.
