Canaccord lowered its price target on Hillman Solutions Corp. (NASDAQ:HLMN) to $13 from $14, citing sluggish business trends and macroeconomic pressures revealed in a recent multi-location customer field survey, according to an Investing.com report. Despite the reduced target, the firm maintained its Buy rating on the hardware and home improvement products provider.

Field Survey Results Across 52 Locations

The downward price target revision stems from direct observations gathered during a recent Canaccord customer survey encompassing 52 Hillman customer locations across various retail channels. The sample comprised 10 Ace Hardware stores, 10 Home Depot locations, 14 Tractor Supply stores, and 18 traditional hardware and lumber supply outlets.

Feedback from store associates during the evaluation highlighted persistent friction in discretionary home improvement spending. Nearly two-thirds of surveyed associates reported that elevated mortgage rates and broader interest rate pressures are actively weighing on customer traffic and project execution.

Impact of Lumber Prices and Housing Pressures

Beyond financing costs, store-level feedback indicated that high lumber prices continue to suppress demand for large-scale residential projects. These macroeconomic headwinds directly influence the velocity of fastener, hardware, and related inventory turnover across Hillman's distribution network.

For comparison, other Wall Street firms maintain varying stances on the equity. Stifel currently maintains a Buy rating on Hillman Solutions with a $12 price target, reflecting a cautious consensus across the coverage universe as analysts weigh housing market cyclicality against the company's distribution footprint.

Recent Earnings and Kanebridge Acquisition Context

The analyst adjustments follow Hillman's second-quarter financial disclosures, where the company reported adjusted earnings of $0.17 per share on revenue of $442.3 million.

Operationally, Hillman recently closed its acquisition of Kanebridge four weeks ago. The transaction expanded Hillman's Industrial segment addressable market by $1 billion, bringing the company's total addressable market to $3 billion as management attempts to offset retail-level housing headwinds with industrial growth.
