Axis Bank reported gross advances of ₹13,846 billion as of September 30, 2026, marking a 22.7% yearly increase and an 8.8% rise from the prior quarter, according to an Investing.com report. The provisional figures point to accelerating credit demand and deposit mobilization during the period.

Deposit Growth and CASA Composition

Total deposits reached ₹14,521 billion, up 20.7% year-over-year and 5.8% quarter-over-quarter. Within the deposit mix, Current Account Savings Account (CASA) deposits stood at ₹5,296 billion.

Meanwhile, term deposits climbed to ₹9,225 billion, representing a 27.3% annual increase and 8.4% quarterly growth. The sharper rise in term deposits relative to CASA reflects competitive deposit-pricing strategies across the banking sector to fund ongoing credit expansion.

Impact of International Branch Loans

Underlying lending performance stayed steady even when excluding specialized financing. Excluding specific international branch loans used as leveraging facilities for Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) deposits, gross advances grew 18.8% year-over-year and 5.3% quarter-over-quarter.

These provisional updates offer a preliminary view of Axis Bank's balance sheet momentum ahead of its detailed quarterly earnings release, providing key metrics on asset growth and liability mobilization for market participants tracking Indian banking liquidity.
