StablecoinX has appointed former Franklin Templeton executive Christopher Jensen as its new CEO and director, effective September 8, 2026. The move signals a strategic shift as the firm works to bridge the gap between institutional asset management and the digital asset ecosystem.

Following the appointment, co-founder Ted Chen will transition to the role of Chairman of the Board. In this capacity, Chen will focus on the company's long-term vision, capital markets positioning, and the maintenance of its strategic partnership with Ethena Labs.

"Since co-founding StablecoinX, I have been looking for a leader who could focus on the Company’s next phase of growth and credibly operate in three worlds at once: institutional asset management, the digital asset ecosystem, and the public markets. Christopher is one of very few people who has spent a career in all three," said Ted Chen, Chairman of the Board of StablecoinX.

Building on the Ethena Ecosystem

StablecoinX currently maintains a treasury position in the digital asset space, holding approximately 3.03 billion ENA tokens. This stake represents roughly 20% of the total ENA supply, making the company the largest corporate holder of Ethena’s governance token. This treasury concentration highlights the firm's role as a primary vehicle for public market exposure to the Ethena ecosystem.

"StablecoinX is the public market entry point into the Ethena ecosystem, and our relationship with the Company is a long-term one," said Guy Young, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ethena Labs.

The Path to Institutional Execution

Jensen joins the firm from Franklin Templeton, where he previously served as Senior Vice President and Director of Digital Asset Research. His mandate as CEO involves scaling the firm's infrastructure and improving market communication to align with institutional standards.

"My focus is converting that premise into results. That means building durable, revenue-generating infrastructure around the Ethena ecosystem, deepening our strategic relationship with Ethena, and communicating with the market with the rigor institutional investors expect. We have the position and the balance sheet. The work now is execution," said Christopher Jensen, Chief Executive Officer of StablecoinX.

For investors and market participants, the leadership change highlights the professionalization of firms operating at the intersection of traditional finance and decentralized protocols. As StablecoinX manages its ENA treasury, the focus remains on whether the new management can translate its asset holdings into revenue-generating operations that satisfy the expectations of public market participants.
