Reformation shares faced volatility following the company’s first earnings report as a public entity, despite posting a 24.1% year-over-year revenue increase. The results mark the company’s 21st consecutive quarter of double-digit growth, showing expansion in its sustainable fashion segment.
"We are incredibly excited to begin this next chapter together," said Hali Borenstein, Chief Executive Officer of Reformation, during the company's earnings call, noting that the brand's core mission remains "to bring sustainable fashion to everyone."
Financial Performance and Margin Expansion
Reformation reported net revenue of $155.2 million for the second quarter of 2026. Profitability also showed improvement, with adjusted EBITDA reaching $25.4 million. This represents a margin expansion, rising to 16.4% compared to 13.2% in the prior-year period.
"The quarter reflected continued top-line momentum and disciplined execution across the business," said Joshua Moore, Chief Financial Officer, who added that the company believes it is "still in the early stages of our long-term growth opportunity."
Scaling the Retail Footprint
Reformation currently operates 70 retail locations. As part of its growth strategy, the company plans to open between 15 and 16 new stores throughout 2026. Leadership has outlined a long-term objective to double its total store fleet over the next five years.
What Is at Stake for Shareholders
The market’s reaction to these results highlights the pressure on newly public retail firms to balance expansion with consistent margin growth. As Reformation transitions into its role as a publicly traded company, the earnings report serves as the primary benchmark for investors evaluating whether the brand can maintain its historical growth trajectory while navigating the operational costs associated with scaling its physical presence.
