North American Construction Group (NACG) has appointed mining industry veteran Brad Rogers as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2026. The appointment follows a multi-month global search to identify a successor to lead the firm through its next phase of operational growth.
Rogers currently serves as the CEO and Managing Director of Jupiter Mines, an ASX-listed manganese producer, a position he has held since August 2022. Upon his transition to NACG, he will also join the company's Board of Directors.
"We are extremely pleased to have Brad take the helm at NACG and steer us into the most opportunity-rich period I have witnessed in my near-50-year career," said Martin Ferron, Chair of the Board, in a statement.
Leadership Transition
Barry Palmer has served as the company's CEO during the interim period while the Board conducted its search for a permanent successor. The transition to Rogers concludes this process, bringing in a leader with experience in the mining sector to oversee NACG's heavy civil construction and mining support services.
"I am delighted to join NACG at such an exciting time in the Company’s long and proud history," said Rogers regarding his appointment.
Sector Background
Rogers' background at Jupiter Mines provides him with experience in the commodities sector, which aligns with NACG's focus on servicing large-scale mining projects. By moving from a resource-producing firm to a construction and mining services provider, Rogers shifts from the client side of the industry to the operational support side. This is a strategic pivot for firms looking to deepen their expertise in mining project lifecycles.
NACG provides heavy equipment and mining services primarily to the oil sands and resource extraction industries in Canada. The company's performance is often tied to the capital expenditure cycles of its major mining clients, making leadership experience in that sector a key factor for the Board's selection process.
