KLA Projects 20% Revenue Growth as 2nm Chip Demand Accelerates
KLA Corporation expects 20% revenue growth in 2026, driven by 2nm chip production demands and expansion in the advanced packaging market.

KLA Corporation is projecting a revenue increase in the low 20% range for 2026. This growth is driven by rising demand for process control in 2nm chip production and gains in the advanced packaging market. This outlook represents an acceleration for the semiconductor equipment provider, which reported revenue growth of 17% in 2025 and 12% in 2024, according to a transcript from the Citi 2026 Global TMT Conference.
"Over that timeframe, the financial model has moved. We have been at the upper end of our incremental operating margin model, and gained about 400 basis points over that timeframe in terms of operating profits," said Bren Higgins, EVP and CFO of KLA, at the conference.
Market Drivers and Technical Intensity
KLA has raised its outlook for the 2026 wafer fab equipment market to the mid-$150 billion range, up from its previous forecast of $135 billion to $140 billion. Much of this growth is tied to the industry's transition to the 2nm node, which requires more intensive inspection and metrology.
"We have seen intensity in the 2 nm node is higher than what we saw in 3 nm, and I think it is driven by a lot of these factors. Big die also carry defect density challenges, which is also where you have the same number of defects on a wafer. The yield impact is more significant when you have much larger die," Higgins explained.
Beyond front-end manufacturing, KLA is expanding its footprint in advanced packaging. The company expects its market share in this segment to reach 7% to 8% in 2026, an increase from approximately 2% in 2023.
Supply Chain Constraints
Despite the positive demand outlook, KLA continues to navigate persistent supply chain bottlenecks. The company noted that specific optical components, such as calcium fluoride, remain difficult to source. Lead times for some critical inputs extend between 18 and 24 months.
These constraints represent a potential headwind for the company as it attempts to meet the heightened demand for its inspection tools. Investors and industry analysts are monitoring these lead times as a key indicator of the company’s ability to convert its growing order backlog into recognized revenue throughout the 2026 fiscal year.
