GURU Organic Energy reported record quarterly net revenue of $11.5 million for the third quarter of 2026, driven by a 59.8% expansion in its United States sales channels. The 10.3% year-over-year top-line increase, or approximately 27% on a comparable basis excluding a prior-year one-time benefit, comes as the organic beverage maker absorbs compressed gross margins due to increased promotional spending.

US Expansion and Channel Growth

The Q3 2026 earnings report highlighted that United States net revenue climbed to $2.8 million. This growth was anchored by broader natural channel availability, highlighted by a nationwide distribution rollout across 490 Sprouts Farmers Market locations.

The domestic push forms a core component of the brand's strategy to capture share in the functional beverage sector. By expanding its retail footprint south of the border, GURU aims to offset more mature trends in its primary Canadian home market.

Margin Compression and Profitability

Despite the record top-line performance, profitability faced headwinds from heavier promotional investments and client mix shifts. According to company earnings disclosures, gross margin contracted to 61.9% compared to 71.3% during the same period in the previous fiscal year.

The company offset these margin pressures through disciplined operating expense management, yielding a net income of $0.5 million, or $0.02 per share. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter registered at $0.9 million, reflecting ongoing operational profitability despite heightened trade marketing outlays.

Balance Sheet and Financial Position

Financial statements indicate that GURU maintains a liquid balance sheet, closing the quarter with $25.6 million in cash and short-term investments. The firm operates entirely debt-free, backed by an additional $10 million revolving credit facility that remains untouched, providing financial flexibility for ongoing retail expansion initiatives.
