flatexDEGIRO shares fell 5% on Friday, touching a session low of €30.58, after supervisory board chairman Hans-Hermann Lotter and board member Martina Pfeifer resigned amid strategic disagreements, according to an Investing.com report.

The sudden departures introduce boardroom uncertainty for the German online brokerage at a time when executive alignment is closely watched by public market investors. Management moved swiftly to install an interim leader and reaffirm financial targets, yet the public split highlights underlying friction over the broker's long-term commercial positioning.

"The departures stem from differing views on key issues regarding flatexDEGIRO's future strategic direction and positioning," the company stated regarding the leadership changes.

Interim Leadership and Departure Timeline

Following Lotter's resignation with immediate effect, flatexDEGIRO elevated long-standing supervisory board member Stefan Müller to the role of interim chairman, also with immediate effect.

Both Lotter and Pfeifer will maintain a transitional presence before severing ties completely. According to the company's disclosure, the two departing board members will leave the supervisory board entirely no later than October 10.

Operational Guidance Reaffirmed

Despite the sudden governance shakeup and the immediate downward pressure on the stock price, corporate leadership emphasized that day-to-day operations remain insulated from the board-level dispute.

Management stated that its operational priorities are unchanged and that the company remains on track to achieve its stated 2026 financial guidance.
