Diagnostyka reported a 16.1% increase in second-quarter revenue, propelled by strong business-to-business demand and diagnostic imaging expansion, even as operating expenses compressed overall earnings margins, according to an Investing.com report. Despite the margin contraction, management maintained its full-year 2026 financial guidance.

Segment Performance and Volume Growth

The top-line growth was driven primarily by corporate channels. According to the earnings data, the company's business-to-business segment expanded 18.8% during the period.

Simultaneously, business-to-consumer volumes returned to growth, posting a 4.5% increase. Division-level results showed the medical laboratory testing division posted revenue growth of 14.5% in the quarter.

Meanwhile, the diagnostic imaging segment surged 47.8%. This outperformance was driven by a reduced share of teleradiology services as physical imaging volume expanded.

Margin Pressures and Operational Costs

Adjusted EBITDA rose just 1.0% during the quarter as operating expenses increased. The cost escalation stemmed from SAP system stabilization efforts and an inventory adjustment.

These operational updates caused the company's EBITDA margin to contract by 340 basis points compared to the prior period. Basis points are a unit of measure equal to one-hundredth of a percentage point, meaning the margin compression represented a reduction of 3.4 percentage points in profitability relative to revenue.

Financial Guidance and What Lies Ahead

The margin compression highlights the operational hurdles healthcare providers face when implementing enterprise resource planning software and managing inventory systems across expanding diagnostic networks.

However, by maintaining its full-year 2026 guidance alongside double-digit revenue growth and a recovering B2C segment, Diagnostyka signaled that near-term system upgrade costs have not derailed its broader financial trajectory.
