CoreWeave is expanding its AI cloud infrastructure into India through a partnership with AdaniConneX, targeting an initial 240-megawatt deployment by mid-2028. This move represents a regional expansion for the cloud provider as it seeks to capture demand for AI training and inference services in the Indian market.
"India has the talent, developers, and ambition to become a major center of AI innovation," said Sachin Jain, Chief Operating Officer of CoreWeave, in a statement regarding the deal.
Infrastructure Capacity and Timeline
The project will be located at the AdaniConneX Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai. Under the terms of the agreement, CoreWeave will serve as the sole tenant across three buildings, each providing 80 megawatts of capacity. The company also retains an option to double its footprint at the location to a total of 480 megawatts.
Operations at the Taloja site are scheduled to commence in mid-2028. CoreWeave plans to utilize the facility to house high-density computing hardware, specifically citing the deployment of NVIDIA Vera Rubin chips designed to handle large-scale AI training, inference, and reasoning tasks.
Global Scaling and Power Metrics
This partnership represents a portion of CoreWeave’s efforts to scale its global infrastructure. As of August 11, 2026, CoreWeave reported approximately 4.2 gigawatts of contracted power across its global data center portfolio. The addition of the Taloja campus allows the firm to secure dedicated power and cooling capacity, which are critical constraints for the operation of next-generation GPU clusters.
In the public markets, CoreWeave (CRWV) was trading at $80.22, down 2.27%, as of October 12, 2026.
Strategic Importance of the Indian Market
For enterprise clients, the availability of specialized AI cloud infrastructure within India addresses the need for local data processing and low-latency access to high-performance computing. By partnering with AdaniConneX, a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX, CoreWeave gains access to established power infrastructure and land banks in a region that has seen accelerated investment in data centers to support the country's domestic AI ecosystem.
