Cambium Networks Corp has initiated a restructuring, cutting 53.6% of its global workforce and placing its UK subsidiary into administration as the company navigates liquidity constraints. The moves, disclosed in an SEC filing, represent a contraction for the wireless networking hardware provider.
On September 11, 2026, the company eliminated 260 positions across its global operations. According to the filing, the affected employees will not receive severance payments. As part of this reduction, the company terminated the employment of Vibhu Vivek, its Senior Vice President of Products, citing the elimination of his role.
UK Subsidiary Insolvency
Following the workforce reduction, Cambium Networks, Ltd., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of the parent corporation, entered administration in the United Kingdom on September 14, 2026. Four partners from RSM UK Restructuring Advisory LLP have been appointed to manage the process, which focuses on the potential sale of the subsidiary's assets to satisfy creditor obligations.
Administration is a formal UK insolvency procedure that provides a company with a statutory moratorium. This protects it from legal action by creditors while administrators attempt to rescue the business or liquidate its assets for the benefit of stakeholders.
Financial Context and Market Performance
These developments follow a period of sustained downward pressure on the company's valuation. Cambium Networks Corp (CMBM) stock has declined 92% year-to-date. As of the report date, the stock was trading at $0.12, with a more recent market quote of $0.06.
For investors and stakeholders, the current restructuring highlights the urgency of the company's efforts to manage its remaining cash position. The decision to forgo severance for over half of its staff reflects the limited capital available to the firm as it attempts to stabilize its operations through the administration of its UK unit.
