ActiveOps shares fell 46.2% to a 52-week low of 121p today. The company issued a profit warning for fiscal year 2028, citing the loss of a major customer and slower new business activity. Management signaled that revenue and adjusted EBITDA will fall below market expectations.
"Executive Chair Richard Jeffery characterised the non-renewal as a setback but maintained that the medium-term opportunity for the company’s Decision Intelligence platform remained intact, pointing to rising enterprise demand for tools that measure AI-driven productivity gains," according to a company regulatory announcement.
Revenue Impact of Client Churn
The earnings revision stems from a large enterprise client deciding not to renew its contract. The agreement expires in March 2027, and the loss of this partnership will reduce annual recurring revenue by £3.8 million.
ActiveOps sells Decision Intelligence software to help organizations track employee productivity and operational capacity. The business model relies on long-term enterprise subscriptions, so the loss of a major account affects top-line growth projections.
Market Context
ActiveOps noted that momentum for new business acquisitions has slowed. This churn and a weaker sales pipeline forced the company to adjust its FY28 outlook, moving away from previous guidance used in analyst valuations.
The company remains focused on the utility of its platform. As enterprises deploy generative AI tools, ActiveOps intends to position its software as a way to measure the productivity gains or losses resulting from those internal AI implementations.
