Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison is planning a sweeping leadership overhaul of Warner Bros. Pictures ahead of closing its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc., placing Paramount film chiefs in charge while retaining DC Studios co-chiefs, according to a report from Yahoo Finance.
Paramount Pictures chiefs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein are set to assume operational oversight of Warner Bros. Pictures once the transaction completes. Following the close of the merger, the combined corporate entity will be renamed Skydance Corp.
Leadership Changes and DC Studios Retention
Under the planned restructuring, current Warner Bros. film studio leaders Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy will not join the merged company, ending their tenure at the helm of the historic studio. Meanwhile, DC Studios co-chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran will join Paramount under their existing contracts, which run through April 2027.
Management has established an operational target to release 30 theatrical films annually across the combined studio footprint once the transaction finalizes. The integration brings together two major Hollywood libraries as Ellison shapes the corporate and creative structure of the post-merger studio.
