Oil-Dri Corporation of America reported record fiscal 2026 results featuring all-time high fourth-quarter sales and $93 million in EBITDA, even as its shares dropped 4.89% in after-hours trading as investors questioned growth durability.

"We've never been more happy or positive with how the company is doing," said Dan Jaffee, chairman, president and chief executive of Oil-Dri Corporation of America, during the earnings call.

Financial Highlights and Share Price Reaction

For the fourth quarter, Oil-Dri posted revenue of $129.29 million and earnings per share of $1.00. Despite these record metrics, company stock fell 4.89% to $80.25 in after-hours trading, down from its prior close of $84.37.

Annual performance was bolstered by record net income and all-time high sales across the period. Cash and cash equivalents finished the fiscal year at a record $74 million, representing a 45% increase from the previous year, while operating cash flow reached $80 million.

"Earnings are an opinion, cash is a fact," said Dan Jaffee, chairman, president and chief executive of Oil-Dri.

Operational Segment Performance

The driving factor behind the company's annual expansion was its co-packaged cat litter category, which surged 47% for the full year. Momentum accelerated further in the fourth quarter, with the same segment jumping 60% as large consumer brands shifted toward lightweight product offerings.

"We believe lightweight segment growth is good for Oil-Dri, period," said Chris Lamson in a statement from the transcript.

What Is at Stake for Investors

The divergence between Oil-Dri's record financial health and its declining share price highlights market sensitivity regarding the sustainability of peak operational cycles. Cash reserves expanded and lightweight litter demand outpaced traditional segments, but public market participants continue to weigh whether upcoming quarters can maintain such rapid gains against rising input and operational comparisons.
