Nanya Technology Q3 2026 EPS Exceeds Estimates Due to DRAM Price Increases

Nanya Technology reported third-quarter 2026 earnings that exceeded analyst expectations, driven by a rise in dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) pricing. Although the company recorded profit growth, management noted that shipment volumes will remain flat until new production capacity begins operations in late 2027.
The company posted earnings per share (EPS) of TWD 25.4 for the quarter, exceeding the consensus forecast of TWD 23.51 by approximately 8%. This performance resulted from an increase in average selling prices (ASP) for DRAM products.
"ASP increased by greater than 60% quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year greater than 500%," said Pei-Ing Lee, President of Nanya Technology, during the company's earnings call.
AI Infrastructure and Revenue Mix
As the semiconductor industry shifts toward high-performance computing, Nanya is aligning its product line with the needs of the data center sector. According to the earnings transcript, AI infrastructure and server-related products account for more than 20% of the company's total revenue.
Beyond standard memory modules, the firm is researching advanced manufacturing techniques to capture demand. "We already have some revenue. Not big, but it is an important business for Nanya to work on," Lee said regarding the company's initiatives in wafer-to-wafer bonding and 3DIC projects.
Capacity Constraints and Future Growth
Despite the pricing environment, Nanya faces a period of supply stagnation. Bit shipments are expected to remain flat for several quarters as the company manages its current output levels. Expansion in wafer production depends on the construction and commissioning of a new fabrication facility.
"Our new fab equipment is scheduled for move in Q1 2027. We plan to ramp up to 30K by the end of 2028 and target up to 50K by the end of 2030," Lee stated.
Because of this timeline, the company does not anticipate contributions from new wafer output until the second half of 2027. Financial gains currently depend on the market pricing cycle rather than an increase in the total number of units shipped.
