Inspiration Healthcare reported revenue of £22 million for the first half of its current fiscal year, a contraction compared to the performance the company delivered in the previous fiscal cycle.

This figure marks a change for the medical technology firm. For the full fiscal year ended Jan. 31, 2026, the company achieved record revenue of £47.5 million, which was a 24% increase year-over-year. The recent decline follows the positive outlook expressed by leadership after the prior year's results.

"It has been a turning point for us the past financial year where we achieved a lot of growth in our numbers," said Raffi Stepanian, CEO of Inspiration Healthcare, in a statement regarding the previous fiscal year's performance.

Financial Indicators and Market Outlook

During the previous earnings cycle, management emphasized their financial position as they planned for expansion.

"I'm very pleased to show that all of our key financial indicators are pointing in the right direction," said CFO Alan Olby during the fiscal 2026 earnings call.

Despite the current revenue decline, the company continues to focus on its international growth strategy, specifically targeting the U.S. market. Management expects to submit an FDA filing for U.S. market entry in mid-to-late 2027, with regulatory clearance projected for the first half of 2028.

What Is at Stake for Investors

The company's ability to navigate this period of lower revenue while maintaining its R&D and regulatory roadmap is a primary focus for shareholders. The transition from a period of high growth to a more challenging half-year environment illustrates the volatility in the medical device sector, as firms balance existing product sales with the capital expenditures required for new market entries like the U.S. expansion.
