ABM Industries reported fiscal third-quarter revenue of $2.32 billion, rising 4.2% year-over-year alongside adjusted earnings per share of $1.04, as rapid expansion in high-growth technology sectors offset headwinds in traditional commercial real estate and aviation markets.

"Our third quarter results reflected strong operational and financial performance, including record quarterly revenue, robust EPS growth and substantial cash generation," said Scott Salmirs, President and Chief Executive Officer, in a statement on the results.

Tech Sector Expansion Drives Performance

The facility management company's growth was heavily supported by its Technical Solutions segment, driven by demand across semiconductor, microgrid, and data-center facilities. According to earnings call coverage from Yahoo Finance, businesses operating in these technology sectors generated nearly $775 million in revenue through the first nine months of the fiscal year.

This technology-focused portfolio achieved 26% organic growth. Total expansion within these specialized markets reached approximately 40% when factoring in the contribution from the WGNSTAR acquisition.

Guidance Upgrades and Cash Flow

Bolstered by these quarterly results, management lifted its financial outlook for the remainder of the fiscal year. ABM Industries raised the midpoint of its full-year adjusted EPS guidance to a range of $3.95 to $4.10.

The company also increased its reported free-cash-flow outlook to approximately $210 million. This cash generation comes despite temporary project timing headwinds during the period.

Project Timing and Near-Term Outlook

Operational figures for the third quarter were partially impacted by client scheduling adjustments. Approximately $15 million of Technical Solutions projects were deferred from the third period due to client timing priorities.

Management noted that nearly all of these deferred projects are expected to shift into the fourth quarter. These timing adjustments did not alter the broader trajectory of the company's high-margin technical services division.
